Explore Quebec’s Unique Ice Hotel

The Ice Hotel in Quebec, Canada, is the only ice hotel in North America. Located just a 10-minute drive from Quebec City, this unique hotel offers a magical experience reminiscent of a crystal palace, much like Santa's village in a fairy tale.

Unique Features and Seasonal Availability

Each room in the Ice Hotel has a distinct style, with all furnishings made entirely of ice. The hotel is open only from January to March each year, making it a must-visit destination for those planning a trip to Quebec during the winter months.

Inspiration and Construction

The Ice Hotel draws inspiration from the world's first ice hotel in Sweden. Inside, the temperature averages around -4°C (24.8°F), requiring guests to wear thick, warm clothing and sleep in sleeping bags to stay warm. The hotel features five suites, accommodating up to 22 guests.

Construction of the Ice Hotel takes about five weeks, using approximately 500 tons of ice and 15,000 tons of snow. This architectural marvel changes its theme annually, offering guests a new experience each year.

Enchanting Atmosphere and Amenities

Under the glow of lights, the ice structures become even more dazzling, displaying a variety of colors. The hotel also features a bar where guests can warm up with a drink, adding to the cozy and unique experience of staying in this icy wonderland.
