DP ART Drawing: The Genius Illustrator Who Paints Like a Printer

Image
Traditional Drawing Techniques Traditional drawing methods typically involve planning the entire structure on a piece of paper first. Artists might draw a cross in the center of the paper or use more auxiliary lines to position the subject accurately. Initially, very light lines are used to outline the subject, gradually adding details layer by layer from large shapes to finer details. Introducing DP ART Drawing Known as the "moving printer," DP ART Drawing is an Asian genius illustrator based in New Zealand. His unique approach to drawing has earned him this nickname, as he creates detailed illustrations with the precision and speed reminiscent of a printer. Example: Will Smith's Portrait A sketch of the famous actor Will Smith, drawn using traditional methods, demonstrates the complexity and skill required in this art form (Maarten Korving, Flickr). The Printer-Like Technique Most people are familiar with printers, whether inkjet or laser. The print head moves

However, amidst this issue, an artist named Ben Wilson is transforming this nuisance into something magical. Meet Ben Wilson: The Chewing Gum Artist Ben Wilson is not your typical artist. AI vs. Humans: Who Comes Out on Top?

Image
In recent years, the advancement of AI-powered drawing software has led to an increase in AI-generated art. This trend has sparked numerous controversies, including difficulties in distinguishing real from fake, unauthorized imitations, and AI-generated entries in various competitions. However, a recent event involving a photographer submitting a real photograph to an AI photography competition has turned the tables, igniting widespread debate. Image
Today, we're diving into the fascinating world of introversion and extraversion. Let's clear up some common misconceptions: Introversion and Extraversion Introversion and extraversion are about where people get their energy. Introverts recharge alone, while extroverts thrive in social settings. Outgoing vs. Extroverted, Shy vs. Introverted Being outgoing doesn't always mean you're an extrovert, and being shy doesn't mean you're an introvert. There are outgoing introverts and shy extroverts out there. Small Talk and Stereotypes Small talk isn't loved by anyone, regardless of personality type. Both introverts and extroverts can initiate or dislike small talk. Stereotypes of extroverts as overly talkative and introverts as socially awkward are outdated and patronizing. Solitude and Individuality Everyone needs solitude sometimes, but the frequency and comfort levels differ between introverts and extroverts. Introversion and extraversion aren't o

Some psychologists consider dreams as mere byproducts of our brain's activity during sleep, rather than magical experiences. Here are seven types of dreams: Nightmares: Have you ever woken up with a sense of relief that your dream wasn't real? Nightmares can haunt us if we believe our fears outweigh our ability to overcome them. Lucid Dreams: Have you ever been aware that you're dreaming while dreaming? Since you're in control, it can make your dream much more exciting. 12 Surprising Strengths of Introverts

Image
There's a somewhat negative stereotype around introverts. People often say they're too quiet to have fun or be social. However, that's a blatant lie. Just because introverts don't feel comfortable walking into a room full of strangers or making friends with everyone there, it doesn't mean they don't enjoy being fun or social. Introverts possess some of the best personality traits; they just tend to keep to themselves. Here are a few things introverts excel at: Having Thought-Provoking Conversations Introverts dislike small talk. The usual "How are you?", "Can you believe this weather?", or "Did you see the game last night?" type of chitchat feels worthless to them. Due to their disdain for idle chatter, many perceive them as unsociable, which is not the case. Introverts prefer to dive into deep conversations, exploring your deepest thoughts, desires, and dreams, bypassing superficial pleasantries. They know you have a story to tell

Understanding Affairs: Lessons for Avoiding Cheating

Image
We all know someone, or perhaps have been someone, who has unfortunately experienced an affair or a cheating relationship. While it is painful and leaves many scars for those affected, it can teach us valuable lessons to avoid similar situations in the future. It's often easier to understand the reasoning behind both sides as an outsider, but even if you are involved, you can still learn a lot. Discovering the motives and recognizing red flags can help you avoid cheating in your own relationships. Cheating is undeniably wrong, but you can't judge someone solely based on their act of cheating without understanding the situation and reasons behind it. For example, consider a couple who dated for a long time, got married, had two kids, and bought a house together. Over time, the husband became an extreme alcoholic, neglecting his wife and children. Due to the wife's financial and cultural constraints, she couldn't divorce him and still care for herself and their children.

Would You Dare? Giant Isopod Ramen Challenge in Taipei! (@懂吃動吃 Foodie)

Image
Have you ever dared to try something truly unique?  In Taipei, Taiwan, a ramen shop has created an exclusive dish that only regulars can order: the "Giant Isopod" Thick Seafood Chicken Broth Ramen. The giant isopod lives in the deep sea, at depths ranging from 170 to 2140 meters, where it is dark and the temperature is around 4 degrees Celsius.  As a carnivorous scavenger, it primarily feeds on dead marine animals like whales and squid. These creatures can grow up to an astonishing 37 centimeters in length. For preparation, only the stomach and intestines are removed, leaving the yellow glands, which are edible. The meat of the giant isopod is described as having the sweetness of lobster and crab, with a softer texture. The glands have a flavor similar to crab roe, surprisingly delicious and impressive. Would you dare to take on this culinary challenge?

13-Year-Old Willis Gibson Beats Tetris and Crashes the Game!

Image
Have you ever played Tetris? Meet 13-year-old Willis Gibson from the United States, who recently "defeated" the 1984 classic game Tetris, causing it to crash. Before him, only artificial intelligence had managed to achieve this feat. For a long time, Level 29 was considered the final stage because the falling blocks moved so fast that humans couldn't react in time. However, in recent years, with various innovative approaches, players have found ways to keep the game going, surpassing the limitations of the original code. On December 21, 2023, while attempting to conquer Level 157, Gibson placed a block that caused a line to disappear, freezing the game. His excitement sharply contrasted with his previous 35 minutes of calm, rapid joystick movements. What other incredible feats do you think humans can achieve?

The 1000-Year Camera: Capturing a Millennium in One Photo

Image
Researcher Jonathon Keats from the University of Arizona’s School of Art has invented a fascinating camera called the "Millennium Camera." This camera is designed to take just one photo over a span of 1000 years. Currently, the Millennium Camera is fixed on Tumamoc Hill, continuously exposing a shot of the city of Tucson below. In 1000 years, it will capture the changes of the city in a single image. We can think of this camera as a type of "pinhole camera," utilizing the principle of pinhole imaging. The structure of the camera is similar to the pinhole imaging boxes we made as kids. The camera's exterior is a 24-karat gold leaf with a pinhole-sized opening. Light passes through this hole into a small copper cylinder mounted on a steel rod. The cylinder is coated with thin layers of rose madder dye, a type of oil paint pigment. Over 1000 years, the light reflected from Tucson will gradually cause the dye to fade, creating a unique image after a millennium. Jona
